BOY OF THE MONTH

John is our May 2011 Boy of the Month! John is a fairly new resident with IERC; he came to us in March. He has finished his sophomore year of high school with the help of the RISE program. John consistently maintains a Level 5 (our highest level) and puts forth much effort in succeeding both in school and in the program. Congratulations John! Well done, J!

STAFF OF THE MONTH

May 2011 Staff of the Month is Chris! Chris is an excellent staff and is one of the kids’ favorites. Chris goes out of his way to build solid, supportive relationships with the children. He enjoys taking them on outings, especially outdoors. Chris goes above and beyond in helping, counseling and teaching each and every child in our care. He takes his time and displays immeasurable patience. Chris has the most fun with his job! Congratulations, Chris!

IERC ANNUAL PICNIC

This year our picnic was held at Glen Helen Regional Park. We utilized the water park and had a blast. The children enjoyed a full day of fun sliding down the waterslides and playing in the pool area. Staff Michelle, Gretchen and Claricia barbequed us all yummy hot dogs, turkey dogs and brats with pasta salad, chips and treats. It was fantastic! Perfect weather conditions for a wonderful full day of fun! The children each received a beach bag that included a towel, ball, squirt fishy, and plenty of sunscreen.
